Blumenthal Performing Arts announced its new 2023-2024 season lineup. The lineup consists of Tony-Award-winning and Broadway-hit musicals such as “The Wiz,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” and Disney’s “The Lion King.”
Blumenthal is also one of three locations in North America that will show “Back to the Future: The Musical” and will be the only place in the region to show major exclusives, including “Company,” “Clue,” and “Message in a Bottle.”
“In Charlotte, audiences are coming back in droves, and there is high demand for top quality entertainment,” Blumenthal President and CEO Tom Gabbard said in a statement. “Fans from across the Carolinas and Tennessee will have the opportunity to travel to Charlotte for the chance to see these exclusive Broadway shows, further establishing Charlotte as a cultural destination in the region.”
PNC Broadway Lights Series, Blumenthal’s season premier ticket, will feature a seven- or eight-show package ranging from $220 to $951. Both seasons will premiere “Funny Girl” beginning Oct. 17, 2023. The eight-show package includes “Message in a Bottle.”
