Charlotte Fire captain arrested after domestic violence incident


A Charlotte Fire captain was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife and 17-year-old son on Wednesday. 

Authorities have charged Vincent Wolfe with assault on a female and assault on a minor.

According to a statement by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, at 7:41 p.m., officers responded to a domestic assault on Tarlton Drive. When police got there, they had to separate and intervene with all parties involved. 

Through the investigation, the officers learned that Wolfe had assaulted his wife and 17-year-old son during the disturbance and arrested Wolfe.

 The Office of the Chief, the Charlotte Fire Department and the City Manager have been advised by CMPD following the arrest.

Wolfe was hired by Charlotte Fire Department in February of 2003 and was assigned to Station 32 as a Captain. He has been placed on administrative leave as investigations continue.
