The Matchup: The Carolina Panthers (5-8) host the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-8).

The Panthers got a big win against Seattle last week, staying in the playoff hunt, one game back from leading the division.

The Steelers have been in some close contests but lost two of their last four games. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett (concussion) is questionable to play Sunday, but weapons like Najee Harris, George Pickens, Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth will provide support to backup Mitch Trubisky.

If the Panthers expect to win, the defense must keep the Steelers offense from finding consistency, and Carolina’s run game has to show up again.

Marcus predicts:  Panthers by 10

His thought bubble:  “it’s hard for me to imagine the Panthers losing anymore games this season, so long as the defense stays healthy. A team with a good defense and a good running game can beat anyone.”
