9th annual Charlotte African-American Festival (Sat)  Celebrate the rich heritage and accomplishments of African-Americans through exhibits, musical performances, art, literature, food and more.

Charlotte Kids Festival (Sat)  Enjoy a wide variety of entertainment options including robotics, magic, yoga, martial arts and more for kids and the whole family.

Camden Commons (Sun) Go hang out at Camden Road’s “outdoor living room” and discover new food, play games, listen to music, and get creative.


Ryan Davis (Fri-Sun): The internet sensation has generated more than 100 million views on his comedy videos, now he brings his jokes to a live audience in Charlotte.

Theater and Film:

Waitress: The Musical (Fri-Sun): Head to Booth Playhouse to follow the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who’s trying to find her way out of a small town and loveless marriage.

Joedance Film Festival(Sat) Prepare for a unique outdoor experience with live music from Southbound and four short film screenings.

Hype Man: A Break Beat Play (Fri-Sun): In the wake of a fatal police shooting, this play explores social justice, friendship, and Hip-Hop through the eyes of an interracial rap group.

Broadway is coming to Charlotte

Blumenthal Performing Arts is pleased to welcome “Waitress” to the intimate 422-seat Booth Playhouse for five weeks, April 19 – May 22.
